James is a theatre maker born and bred in Newcastle, James' previous directing credits include "THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION" (Hunter Drama), “TWO POINT OH” (Knock And Run Theatre), "AJAX IN IRAQ" (Knock And Run Theatre), "MADAGASCAR JR" (Hunter Drama) and various projects with Tantrum Youth Arts. His performance credits include "CIRCUMFERENCE OF A SQUIRREL" (Knock And Run Theatre), "YEAR OF THE ROOSTER" (Knock And Run Theatre) and "SLEUTH" (Newcastle Theatre Company) all of which earned him CONDA nominations for Best Actor. In addition to this, James is the founder and artistic director of Knock And Run Theatre and the Program Director at Hunter Drama. A very busy bee, James recently played Ben in “THINGS I KNOW TO BE TRUE” (The Very Popular Theatre Company) and will star as the titular character in “TREVOR” (Knock And Run Theatre).
