James Rhodes
Artist Bio
Dr. James Rhodes is a multi-disciplinary artist who primarily works with photo media, painting, and sculpture. Rhodes explores the relationship between the built and natural environment through the interconnection between the subject matter and materiality of his works. By playing with the inherent illusion that is embedded in the memetic arts, Rhodes uncovers his own way of experiencing, and making sense of, the world around him. Dr. James Rhodes was awarded his Ph.D. that examined what materiality means for photographic practice in 2022 and is currently Lecturing in Photography at The University of Newcastle.
