Workshops - Gallery and Framing Considerations

The Gallery considerations and framing considerations workshop intends to cover the basics for curating, exhibiting, and hanging artworks. It will include information and techniques on safely handling, tools, equipment and the processes undertaken to ensure a successful exhibition. We hope it will provide comprehensive guideline for artists to exhibit their work with professionalism.

The second part of the workshop is being presented by Frame Today and will take you through all the framing options. These workshops are being presented for Artists to gain vital information about how the final presentation of artworks in an exhibition needs to be considered before even starting an artwork.

The current exhibition by Aidan Gageler, winner of the Hunter Emerging Art Prize and finalist in the SA Gallery Ramsay Art prize is a perfect showcase of a solo show conceived and designed for the exhibition space, and exactly how the works would be made ready for hanging and framing.
