THE BENDER ARTIST CALL OUT

We are seeking applications from visual artists, musicians, performers, DJs, photographers, fashion designers, poets, filmmakers, animators, video and sound artists; you name it, we want it! Don’t consider yourself an ‘artist’ but have an amazing idea for the space? Pitch it to us!

Your project could be (but not limited to):

– A collaborative work between artists and different disciplines
– Site specific installations – take advantage of The Lock-Up’s unique history and architecture!
– Interactive or responsive, Static or live
– Collaborative and multi-disciplinary applications are encouraged.
– The creation of immersive environments is highly desirable.

Works will be selected based on their strength and cohesion within the show. An artist fee of $250 per project will be paid to successful proposals.

“This year I’d like to encourage artists to reflect on the past two years. Where have you been and where are we collectively going next? What experiences do you want to offer to audiences as we reunite? What do you want to say about this moment in time? What are you embracing on the other side?

THE BENDER is a party, a riot, a reclamation, a pause from the every day, an immersion. It is whatever you want it to be. Welcome back – I can’t wait to hear from you.”
