Catapult Dance Choreographic Hub, Newcastle is a professional contemporary dance and multi-arts organisation, that leads, cultivates and champions mid-career professional contemporary dance practitioners, regional multi-disciplinary artists, emerging artists, young people and the community.
Catapult empowers artists to lead and experiment in their practice, enabling high quality, pioneering dance for diverse contexts regionally, nationally and internationally. Catapult curates professional performances, residencies, international/regional collaborations, diverse youth and community outreach programs.
The programs are multipronged, highlighting Newcastle’s artistic identity, as an incubator and producer of the highest quality professional arts practice; advocating choreographic development, collaboration across disciplines, and building new communities for contemporary dance practice.
